Expedition 50

Custom designed by Erik de Jong when he was only 16 years old, the Expedition 50, is a proven all weather and high latitude boat.

The hull design is optimized for smooth motion and easy moving through the water. Combined with a large rig, the E50 sails well in light air, is comfortable both upwind and in heavy weather. Erik uses his E50, Bagheera, for charter expeditions and polar exploration, and has sailed her over 50,000 miles including a Northwest Passage transit.

The Expedition 50 design can be customized based on the client’s specifications, including an aluminum hull.
